Editor's note: "Introduction to the Chinese National Community" states that "the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, known as the 'Roof of the World', had human activities 200000 years ago... For example, the Karuo Site absorbed cultural elements from the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River, such as millet crops, semi cave style red clay houses, colored pottery decorations, pottery shapes, and stone processing techniques. The two body colored pottery jars at the Karuo Site have become a common cultural symbol connecting prehistoric cultures in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, northwest Sichuan, and northwest Yunnan. Linguistic research also shows that Chinese and Tibetan originated from the same source. The integration of culture and the expansion of agricultural populations indicate that today's Qinghai Tibet Plateau has been integrated into prehistoric times." In the early Chinese cultural circle, not only did it expand the geographical scope of the early Chinese cultural circle, but it also enriched its cultural connotations. To better understand the early integration of regional culture, this article will explore the connotation of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, which had already been integrated into the early Chinese cultural circle since prehistoric times, from the past and present lives of the double body pottery jars at the Karuo site, to provide readers with a better understanding. ▲ A panorama of Karuo Site in Changdu, Xizang (photo source: Wang Zheng of Changjiang Network) In 1977, Karuo Village, about 12 kilometers southeast of Changdu County, Xizang, was expanding a cement plant. When workers dug the foundation, they accidentally dug up some broken pottery, stone and jade pieces, some of which were delicate in shape, but not like the daily life tools used by ordinary people. Coincidentally, one night the cement factory showed everyone a movie about unearthed cultural relics. The workers found that some of the cultural relics in the movie were very similar to what they had dug up from the construction site. So, a few curious workers carefully wrapped up these excavated things. The next morning, I took a bus straight to the Changdu City Cultural Bureau. This discovery was soon highly valued by the Xizang Autonomous Region and the National Cutural Heritage Administration. From then on, the small village called "Karuo" by the Lancang River became famous instantly. Karuo Site, as a treasure of Neolithic settlement sites in Xizang, is unique for its good preservation, grand scale, long history and rich relics. The site covers an area of approximately 38000 square meters, of which the core area is about 1200 square meters. More than 30000 cultural relics such as stone, jade, bone, pottery, millet, and animal bones have been unearthed. The discovery of crops such as millet, pig bones, and throwing stone balls for hunting at the site together revealed the production mode of joint development of agriculture and animal husbandry at that time. The discovery of Karo Site pushed the history of Xizang forward to four or five thousand years ago. ▲ The Karo Site (photo source: Gaode Map), located about 12 kilometers south of Karo District, Changdu City, Xizang Autonomous Region, shining with the dawn of prehistoric civilization, displays a "treasure of the town hall" in the hall of "Long Songs in the Snow Land - Xizang History and Culture Exhibition" on the second floor of the Xizang Museum, which is exactly the double body pottery pot unearthed in the Karo Site. Now, this pottery jar silently tells stories of the past, allowing us to glimpse the cultural landscape of that distant era and feel the wisdom and spirit of our ancestors. This double body pottery jar is made of fine sand yellow pottery, with a diameter of 11.3 centimeters, a bottom diameter of 8.4 centimeters, and a height of 19 centimeters. The mouth of the jar is trumpet shaped, with a straight neck and sloping shoulders. The abdomen is a bag shaped double body, with a middle crotch
