Recently, Renmin University of China, the People's Government of Nanping City, and Wuyi College jointly signed a cooperation agreement to jointly build the Wuyi Research Institute of Chinese Civilization. The first Wuyi Forum, titled "Two Combinations: 5000 Years of Chinese Civilization and Socialism with Chinese Characteristics," was held in Zhuxi Garden to discuss the intrinsic relationship between the 5000 Years of Chinese Civilization and Socialism with Chinese Characteristics from the dimensions of Marxism Sinicization, Chinese Civilization History, and Global Civilization History across disciplines. Chinese civilization is the only great civilization in the world that has been continuously developed in the form of a nation to this day. The excellent cultural genes of Chinese civilization are concentrated in the original Chinese classics. It is these classics that have successfully constructed the unique spiritual world of the Chinese people, externalized into ritual and music customs, and subtly influenced generation after generation of Chinese people. By interpreting and revitalizing these classics, we can keep the spirit of the Chinese nation alive and vibrant in the changing times. The worldview, worldview, social view, and moral view accumulated by the Chinese people in their long-term production and life have an indelible value of the times, and as a result, Chinese civilization continuously demonstrates its outstanding continuity, innovation, unity, inclusiveness, and peace. From human activity sites in the Neolithic period to the three generations of ritual and music civilization, from the teachings of Zhou and Kong to the teachings of Zhu and Wang... These cultural and ideological treasures contain the Chinese people's ideals and beliefs of seeking truth, pragmatism, and promoting harmony and peace, and are precious treasures of modern Chinese civilization. The spirit of the Chinese nation has a long and profound history, which requires a macro analysis from the depth of history and understanding from the roots of civilization. It also needs to be horizontally combined with the material life, institutional customs, economic and political aspects of each era to comprehensively grasp. It also needs to be compared and studied with many types of civilizations in human history. We should pay special attention to tapping the essence of China's five thousand year civilization, combine the promotion of China's excellent traditional culture with Marxist positions, views and methods, and unswervingly follow the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The relationship between China's civilization of more than 5000 years and socialism with Chinese characteristics is dynamic. To deeply grasp this relationship, we need to closely combine it with Chinese path to modernization. Chinese path to modernization is essentially the modernization of human beings.
