China, Iran, and Russia "Security Tie-2024" Joint Exercise Opened

On March 11th local time, the joint exercise of the "Security Tie-2024" between China, Iran, and Russia kicked off. On the morning of that day, Chinese participating ships arrived in the waters near Chabahar, Iran, and completed the assembly of their forces with participating ships from the Iranian and Russian navies. The joint performance, with the theme of "co creating peace and security", was organized and implemented near the Gulf of Oman from March 11th to 15th, aiming to jointly maintain regional maritime security. The Chinese military participating in the exercise includes the 45th batch of escort missile destroyers Urumqi, missile frigates Linyi, and comprehensive supply ships Dongpinghu. The Iraqi military participating in the exercise consists of more than 10 ships, including the Alboz and Jamalan frigates. The Russian military participating in the exercise includes the missile cruiser Varyag and the large anti submarine ship Marshal Shaposhnikov. (Lai Xin She)
