Seventeen years ago, in 2006, Binzhou University established the first local aviation college in China, marking the beginning of a unique aviation education path. Just now, Director Li Ming read out the letter from the Ministry of Education approving the renaming of Binzhou University to Shandong University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Binzhou University has officially changed its name to Shandong University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, which can be said to be a major and joyful event in the higher education front of Shandong. It is also an important and grand event in the development history of Binzhou, marking the common aspiration of 4 million Binzhou people, over 200000 alumni, and more than 20000 teachers and students who have gone through hardships and fulfilled their dreams! The successful renaming of the college means that the glorious past of Binzhou College has been recorded in history, and the beautiful picture of Shandong University of Aeronautics and Astronautics is slowly unfolding. At this moment, I would like to share some thoughts and experiences from the three dimensions of the past, present, and future. Looking back at the 69 year history of the school, especially the aviation characteristic education path of "grinding a sword in 17 years", we will have a feeling of "writing thousands of miles into our hearts". I remember three years ago, shortly after I started working in Binzhou, I came to Binzhou College to conduct research and was inspired by the college's entrepreneurial journey. Especially after visiting the Flight Academy, there is a feeling of being refreshed and uplifted. At that time, I said that the difficult entrepreneurial development process of the Flight Academy from scratch, from existence to excellence, and from excellence to uniqueness is a practical manifestation of the spirit of "two bombs and one satellite" on the land of Binzhou, a vivid manifestation of the spirit of Binzhou people's "fighting and striving" and "being able to achieve success", and a vivid reflection of the correct political performance concept practiced by the Party members, cadres, and the leadership teams of the college in Binzhou.
