The first foreign-related judicial special film in China titled "Foreigners Telling Stories: A Legalized Business Environment" has been released

2023-12-28

On the afternoon of December 27th, the Shanghai Higher People's Court held an all media press conference and released the country's first foreign-related judicial special film "Foreigners Telling Stories: A Legal Business Environment". The special film is jointly produced by the External Propaganda Office of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, the News and Media Headquarters of the People's Court, the Shanghai Higher People's Court, and the Xinmin Evening News. The special film meticulously interviewed and filmed 5 foreign friends from different countries and industries, showcasing their real experiences of the judicial environment in Shanghai, showcasing the effectiveness of the construction of a legal and international business environment in Shanghai, and highlighting the strength and warmth of China's judiciary. Among them, there are not only "foreign maternal uncles" who participate in non litigation mediation of foreign-related commercial matters, but also foreign parties who have filed lawsuits in Chinese courts, Singaporean lawyers who participate in case trials, and multinational company CEOs who are concerned about intellectual property protection. The special feature film, which took one year from project planning and negotiation to inviting interviews and production, will be officially launched on December 27th, with one episode per day and simultaneously broadcasted on all media platforms. This is the first thematic film in the country with foreign-related justice as the theme, foreign parties as the main body, and "other perspectives" as the subject. It is also a "breakthrough" in telling the story of the People's Court, exploring international narratives, and showcasing a "breakthrough" in Chinese justice. (Lai Xin She)
