On November 28th, the China Legal Consulting Center held a symposium on voluntary expert work in litigation services in Beijing. Zhang Sujun, member of the Party Group and Vice President of the China Law Society, and Gao Jinghong, member of the Party Group and Vice President of the Supreme People's Court, attended the meeting and presented awards and delivered speeches to the commended representatives. Gao Jinghong pointed out that since 2014, the China Law Society has sent more than 1500 volunteer experts to the litigation service center of the Supreme People's Court to provide services, received 3900 visitors, and participated in resolving more than 4000 petition cases. Volunteer experts are diligent and tireless, working together with colleagues from the Litigation Service Center of the Supreme People's Court, to provide enthusiastic, thoughtful, and meticulous litigation services to the masses involved in litigation. They have written a new chapter in the legal professional community's service to the people in the new era, and have won widespread recognition and praise from the public. Gao Jinghong emphasized the need to adhere to and develop the "Fengqiao Experience" of the new era, effectively enhance the political responsibility of doing a good job in litigation and service volunteer work, understand litigation and service volunteer work from the perspective of social governance, and continuously improve the mechanism of litigation and service volunteer work. We must adhere to the principle of putting the people first, with the sentiment of "as if I am suing", treat the visits of the masses as family matters, treat the letters from the masses as family letters, truly open the hearts of the people involved in the lawsuit, and convey social care and judicial warmth. We must strictly handle it in accordance with the law, guide the voluntary work of litigation and service with the goal of the rule of law through letters and visits, comprehensively understand the situation of the case, enthusiastically help the people solve practical problems, and effectively understand the facts, listen to opinions, and interpret the law and reason. To form a collaborative work force, enhance the voluntary work of litigation service with substantive resolution of disputes, and further expand the volunteer team of litigation service. Experts from the Chinese Law Society, Supreme People's Court, and Local Law Societies, as well as representatives of litigation service volunteers, conducted discussions around the theme of the conference. The attendees also watched the commemorative film of the 10th anniversary of the litigation service volunteer expert. Du Lin, Deputy Director (in charge of work) of the China Legal Advisory Center, presided over the meeting. Nearly 80 volunteer experts attended the conference. (Lai Xin She)
