In recent years, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has accelerated the transformation and upgrading of traditional energy industries, vigorously developed new energy industries, and promoted the coordinated and complementary development of multiple energy sources, promoting green development. The 11th Party Congress of the Autonomous Region proposed to take the lead in building an energy supply system with new energy as the main body and a new power system with new energy as the main body in the country. By 2025, the installed scale of new energy will exceed the installed scale of thermal power, and by 2030, the total amount of new energy power generation will exceed the total amount of thermal power generation. The government work report of the autonomous region proposes to focus on the development and construction of new energy and the development of equipment manufacturing industry, adhere to driving new industries with new energy, accelerate the construction of large-scale wind and solar energy bases and "source network load storage", wind and solar hydrogen production and other scenario projects, focus on building wind and solar hydrogen storage industry clusters and "Hubao Etong" equipment manufacturing bases, and strive to create a "industrial Inner Mongolia" in the field of new energy. In promoting the development and construction of new energy, Inner Mongolia has accelerated the implementation of the action of doubling new energy, rapidly increasing the installed capacity and power generation of new energy by increasing the export and local consumption of new energy. In terms of power transmission, the first step is to expand the scale of transmission through the construction of new transmission channels, vigorously promote the "photovoltaic+ecological governance" model, and prioritize the construction of large-scale wind and photovoltaic bases with a capacity of tens of millions of kilowatts in desert and Gobi desert areas. Since 2022, the country has successively approved four new energy export bases in Inner Mongolia, with each base planning 12 million kilowatts of new energy and 4 million kilowatts of coal-fired power, and supporting the construction of four ultra-high voltage export channels. Among them, the Mengxi Beijing Tianjin Hebei channel has been included in the national plan, and the remaining three channels are expected to be included in the national plan by the end of this year. Secondly, the proportion of new energy delivery has been increased by utilizing existing export channels. The entire region has built 5 ultra-high voltage export channels and 11 500 kV export channels, with a total designed export capacity of about 70 million kilowatts. In the early stage, thermal power was mainly exported. The autonomous region is accelerating the layout and construction of million kilowatt level wind power and photovoltaic bases, which have received three batches of national approval, totaling 54.88 million kilowatts. After the completion of these bases, it will greatly increase the proportion of green power transmission in Inner Mongolia. In terms of local consumption, the first step is to strengthen the guaranteed local consumption of new energy, and improve the regulation capacity of the power system through flexible transformation, layout of energy storage, and planning and construction of pumped storage power stations. By the first half of 2023, the entire region has completed a total of 12.9 million kilowatts of flexibility renovation, with one 1.2 million kilowatt pumped storage power station in operation, and a new system regulation capacity of 9.64 million kilowatts has been added. Secondly, we will vigorously develop market-oriented consumption of new energy models, continuously optimize and improve market-oriented consumption of new energy policies, launch six types of market-oriented consumption of new energy application scenarios, allocate 47 million kilowatts of new energy, effectively drive the landing of new loads, and enhance the nearby consumption capacity of new energy. In the development of the new energy equipment manufacturing industry, we will adhere to the development of the entire industry chain and chain thinking, focus on building a cluster of wind and solar hydrogen storage industries and a "Hubao Etong" equipment manufacturing base, collaborate to promote chain extension and strengthening actions and quality improvement actions, clarify key investment industries, key industry chains, key investment regions, and key enterprises, and delineate 98 core enterprises on the industry chain for refinement
