Let the spirit of sports inspire everyone, Zhang Jingyi (winner of the Chengdu Universiade women's basketball championship and teacher of Beijing Normal University Affiliated Experimental High School). On the evening of August 5th, in the Chengdu Universiade women's basketball final, the Chinese women's basketball team defeated the Japanese team and regained the Universiade championship after 20 years. As a member of the team, I am honored to have climbed to the highest podium with my teammates. During my studies at Beijing Normal University, I participated in the National College Basketball League (CUBAL) and was awarded the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP). I also represented the China University Sports Association in the Chinese Women's Basketball League (WCBA). After graduating as a master's student last year, I became a teacher at the Experimental Middle School affiliated with Beijing Normal University. Two months ago, Li Sunnan, the head coach of the women's basketball team at Beijing Normal University, formed the Chinese women's basketball team to participate in the Universiade. I was fortunate enough to be a member of the team. From assembly to participation, the time was very short, and it wasn't until before the Universiade that all the team members met, so we have been improving through competition. At the beginning, the coach did not set a clear goal for us. Before the group stage, he told us to strive to advance to the quarterfinals. Later, the goal gradually became to reach the quarterfinals and reach the finals, until we won the championship. Now it seems that it is very difficult for us to win the gold medal with a total victory. In fact, it has been a year since I left the stadium before participating in the Chengdu Universiade. Not only did my physical fitness decline, but I also encountered injuries during the recovery process. Fortunately, we are an excellent team, we get along well off the field, and we unite as one on the field. It is precisely with these teammates who share joys and sorrows that I have the opportunity to stand on the field and showcase myself, and become one of the champions. As a teacher, when I received the notification of being selected for the Chinese women's basketball team, the students were just as happy as me. They all hoped that I could achieve good results and kept an eye on my training and matches, sending me messages every day. I want to tell them, 'Meeting you is my luck, and I hope we can progress and grow together in our future studies.' At this moment, I am reminded of my mentor Professor Yin Hengchan's educational philosophy of 'no sports, no education'. Her philosophy is a highly condensed understanding of the diverse values and functions of sports. I deeply understand that sports can not only enhance students' physical fitness, but also cultivate excellent moral character; It is also beneficial for students to improve their mental health and enhance their brain intelligence; Sports can also improve everyone's social interaction ability, enhance everyone's aesthetic taste, cultivate labor awareness and habits, and thus promote the comprehensive and healthy development of students.
