The emergence of issues such as different prices for renting the same car, additional delivery fees, and incomplete registration information has greatly reduced the already comfortable self driving experience for tourists, turning "peace of mind travel" into "worry travel". Our civil code clearly stipulates that the contents of the lease contract generally include the name, quantity, purpose, lease term, rent and its payment term and method, maintenance of the lease and other terms. Car rental enterprises should clearly explain the above contents in the online rental contract. The reported induced Consumer behaviour behavior of not explaining in advance and adding more money afterwards clearly violates the principle of good faith and may be suspected of contract fraud. In addition, the unclear pricing of car rental companies, which leads to different prices for different accounts in the same car and store, not only violates the principle of fair trade, but also is suspected of violating the provisions of the Price Law on the prohibition of price discrimination. The "Management Measures for Small and Micro Bus Rental and Operation Services" issued by the Ministry of Transport clearly stipulates that those engaged in small and micro bus rental and operation shall, within 60 days after completing relevant registration procedures with the market supervision and management department or establishing a new service institution to carry out business activities, apply for registration with the nearest municipal or county-level small and micro bus rental administrative department where the operation is located. From the reported situation, this regulation has also been directly "ignored" by some operators. The various "pitfalls" in the car rental industry not only infringe on the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, but also disrupt the order of the car rental market. It is necessary to strengthen industry regulation and rectification. Firstly, car rental companies should strengthen self-discipline, make rental information public and transparent, clearly mark prices, and allow consumers to fully understand basic information such as vehicle models and conditions before transactions. They should clearly inform consumers about the methods of deducting vehicle maintenance and penalty fees, fully protect consumers' right to know, and not use the mentality of "small pitfalls and small profits" to lose the company's reputation. Secondly, as the preferred third-party network platform for many consumers to rent cars, it should be responsible and trustworthy to consumers. Not only should we ensure the transparency of information on self operated vehicles, but we also need to strengthen the verification and supervision of the qualifications and vehicle registration information of various enterprises on the platform. Improve the user evaluation mechanism and conduct verification of user complaints. Once rental companies with high consumer complaint rates are verified, the platform should promptly remove them from the shelves for processing, increase the cost of violating regulations, and eliminate "customer slaughter" behavior. At the same time, we need to further improve vehicle rental services. Finally, relevant departments should increase their efforts to rectify and regulate market order.
