Recently, the Navy, relying on local General aviation training institutions in Qingyang, Gansu Province and Binzhou, Shandong Province, organized the first batch of 15 hour live screening flights for college students to select Carrier-based aircraft flight cadets. This is also the first time for our army to select flight cadets through Longue durée live screening flight, and is expected to produce the first female flight cadet of Carrier-based aircraft. Practical screening flight is an important process for some aviation powers in the world to select flight trainees, usually organized and implemented during the entry-level selection stage. Under the guidance of flight experts, by organizing candidates to fly for several hours in the air, candidates with poor physical conditions, weak spatial positioning, and poor psychological quality are screened out at an early stage, effectively identifying flight potential and accurately screening flight seedlings. With the rapid construction and development of our ship borne aircraft force, the live screening flight is becoming an important means for the Navy to identify the flight potential of candidates. According to the relevant person in charge of the Navy's recruitment office, all the candidates participating in the actual screening flight this year are fresh graduates of science and engineering majors from ordinary higher education institutions admitted according to the first batch of undergraduate programs, including several female students. After completing the learning and assessment of aviation theory, ground preparation, and simulated flight at the general aviation training institution, they will undergo an additional 15 hours of approximately 80 takeoff and landing training, including takeoff and landing, level flight and ascent glide, horizontal turning and circling, dive and jump, and other flight contents. The actual screening flight not only stimulates the flying interest of the flying target, strengthens flight awareness, and improves the quality and efficiency of the recruitment selection, but also discovers a group of good candidates suitable for flight through flight practice. In order to meet the talent needs of Carrier-based aircraft pilots, the Navy selected Carrier-based aircraft flight cadets and Carrier-based aircraft female flight cadets for the first time among college graduates this year. The trainees' abilities of understanding and memory, spatial perception, balance function, state interpretation and imitation acceptance demonstrated in the actual screening flight will be comprehensively evaluated by the naval flight inspection experts and civil aviation flight experts, which will serve as an important basis for the selection of Carrier-based aircraft pilots.
