The real systematic and in-depth research began in the 1980s. The initial study of Han Fu focused on the theory of value of Han Fu and the theory of writers and works, represented by Gong Kechang's Study of Han Fu (1984), which had a ragged contribution to opening up the frontier. Since then, researchers have focused on the art of Han Fu and the cultural connotation of Han Fu, represented by Wan Guangzhi's "General Theory of Han Fu" (1989), Zhang Cang's "Aesthetics of Han Fu" (1993), Kang Jinsheng's "Han Fu" (1993) and so on. Of course, the collection, collation, annotation and appreciation of Han Fu works have also made great achievements. In addition to Bi Wanchen's "Selected Chinese Fu in the Past Dynasties - Volume of the Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties" (1990) and Fei Zhengang's "Complete Han Fu" (1993), there are also Zhang Zhenze's "Zhang Heng's Collection of Poems and Essays" (1986), "Yang Xiong's Collection and Annotation" (1993), and Jin Guoyong's "Sima Xiangru's Collection and Annotation" (1993). Most overseas scholars from Hong Kong and Taiwan are committed to the study of words, famous objects and creative skills, with the contributions of Taiwan's Jianzongwu, the United States Condavi, Japan's Qingshuimo, and Gukouyang. The research on Han Fu in the 21st century is far beyond the last century in terms of research team, number of achievements, depth and breadth of research. To sum up, there are three main aspects. The future study of Han Fu should also be conceived and developed from it. First, the interpretation of Han Fu text and related literature research. Text interpretation is the premise and foundation of literary research. However, there are many Han Fu works or different articles in existence, and there are many obscure words or broken sentences, which makes it difficult to understand. The publication of Commentary on Han Fu (2003) by Gong Kechang and others, and the collation of Han Fu (2005) by Fei Zhengang and others laid a solid foundation for the study of Han Fu in the new century. The book "Ban Gu Ji Jiao Zhu" (2019) of Hou Literature can also fill the embarrassing situation of "three missing and one" of the four masters of Han Fu, which is commendable. Liu Yuejin's Collection of Old Notes on Selected Works (2017) has collected a variety of ancient versions of Selected Works from Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, and has collected an unprecedented wealth of different texts and ancient notes. With the discovery of more rare, rare and rare documents at home and abroad, as well as the vigorous development and extensive use of electronic documents, the new collection, collation and annotation of Han Fu works are on the agenda. The major project of the National Social Science Foundation, "The new edition, collation, annotation and review of the Han Fu", which was established in 2022, is expected to promote the study of the Han Fu text. Due to the long history, Han Fu works have been seriously scattered and lost. Fei Zhengang, Gong Kechang, Cheng Zhangcan, Cao Shujuan, Liao Guodong and others have all been engaged in the work of collecting the lost, and each has its own harvest. Peng Chunyan's Research on the Text of Han Fu (2017) continued to collect 15 lost articles, including 17 titles, 17 copyrights and 41 fragments, which contributed to the rectification of Han Fu works. His "Research on the Year of Han Fu" (2017) examines the works of 27 Fu writers in the Western Han Dynasty and 67 Fu writers in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and determines the year of each Fu for reference.
