Sunak talked with the leadership of the defense and security sectors and told them that transporting tanks to Ukraine should be a priority in combat activities. The newspaper pointed out that the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense "decided to send a tank squadron (up to 18 tanks) after Zelensky actively lobbied on this issue". According to the Guardian on the 13th, Britain will announce the sending of tanks to Ukraine on the 16th. Earlier, the Financial Times quoted the Prime Minister's spokesman and disclosed the news of preparing to supply (tanks). An official of Sunak's office said that London was increasing its assistance to Ukraine by providing new military technology.
