Credit deduction+price difference compensation=buy famous brand goods at a low price? Don't be credulous!

"Almost went into the pit." A few days ago, Ms. Li, a consumer in Chaoyang District, Beijing, told the reporter that on January 2, she received a message that the points were about to expire, telling her to open the link as soon as possible to exchange the goods, otherwise the points would be cleared on January 3. She thought it was the point of the mobile phone number, and thought that she had exchanged the phone bill before, so she opened the link to see. However, after selecting the goods, filling in the address and preparing to pay the price difference, Ms. Li felt it necessary to check the original price of the goods with 10086 customer service. After checking, she knew that the event was not an official event. "This scam is too confusing. Because the text message was sent with my mobile phone tail number, and the end of the year clearing was normal, I naturally thought it was an official activity." Ms. Li said, "After opening the link, I found that there were well-known products such as Dajiang UAV, Huawei mobile phone, Konka electric hot pot, and so on. I was moved and chose electric hot pot." However, when preparing to pay the difference, Ms. Li thought to herself: An ordinary 5L electric hot pot is only two or three hundred yuan. Why should I pay 299 yuan after deducting 1000 yuan from 1000 points? So she checked the electric hot pot online and found that the price was 999 yuan, but there was no comment on the product. "When I buy a product, I always look at the evaluation. Those who have little evaluation will not buy it. If I don't have any evaluation, I don't really want to buy it. But I am still excited to think that it can be cheaper than 700 yuan." Ms. Li said, "In order to determine whether the original price of this product is really 999 yuan, I called 10086 to verify. I didn't expect to beat the bush and avoid the fraud." The reporter noted that Ms. Li's experience is not an exception. Recently, the China Consumer Association (hereinafter referred to as the China Consumer Association) has successively received consumer feedback about the operators' use of the expired points to urge the exchange of corresponding goods or services suspected of misleading consumption. The relevant person in charge of the China Consumers Association pointed out that near the end of the year, some operators took advantage of the psychology of consumers who could not bear to waste consumption points and expected brand concessions to carry out SMS marketing promotion, invite members to participate in the exchange of points for goods, punch in or invite friends to participate in the interaction. There are also some illegal operators who cheat new user registration information by pretending to be brand customer service, sending short messages to consumers by imitating the service numbers of the three major operators, and inviting consumers to take the initiative to click the link to exchange so-called welfare goods, and even carry out related telecommunications fraud activities. This exchange form of "point deduction+price difference compensation" is easy to mislead consumers. However, the China Consumers Association has confirmed that some of the products in the points exchange mall are counterfeit products, and some of the brand products are products that have been overstocked for many years. In this regard, the China Consumers Association reminded consumers not to be credulous of the so-called "price difference compensation" welfare gimmick of point exchange. If there is a point exchange activity that purchases goods or services by means of making up the difference or combining with cash, you must be cautious about consumption and pay attention to comparing the information and actual value of goods to avoid "losing points and losing money". At the same time, the China Consumers Association suggested that the telecom service operators should monitor and verify the content and number segment of such points exchange mall messages, and dynamically block them, and deal with the abnormal information and activities involving fraud.
