France takes many measures to strengthen the "brush presence" of armaments

2022-09-28

Recently, France has taken frequent actions in armament construction and overseas deployment: it has released the progress of a number of arms sales orders, disclosed the road map for the construction of unmanned aerial vehicles and space, and announced the action plan for sea and air in the Asia Pacific region for a period of time to come. Although the French series action is low-key and highlights legitimacy, it still causes widespread concern. In the middle of September, the second offshore patrol ship "Niani" built by France for the Senegalese navy was launched in Konkano. At the launching ceremony, the French side said that it would deliver all three patrol ships as scheduled. The French Army Procurement Bureau recently announced that the third batch of "Serval" armored vehicles will be delivered to the Army Technical Bureau for acceptance. According to the plan, the French army will receive 70 armored vehicles of this type in 2022. The French Army said there was no risk of default on the order. France's disclosure of equipment production and assembly information is intended to show the stability of the French military industrial chain to the outside world and dispel external doubts. In response to equipment research and construction, France has recently prepared two seminars. One was the International Astronautical Congress in mid September, at which the French Prime Minister announced the roadmap for France's space and aerospace development, saying that 9 billion euros would be invested in space in the next three years. The other was a technical seminar held by the French Naval Activity and Construction Industry Group, which focused on UAV systems, directed energy laser weapons, etc. The French navy showed the "Navy Shipborne Micro UAV System" and S-100 UAV to the outside world. It is revealed that the above UAVs can be carried on active main warships such as northwest wind class amphibious assault ships. In addition, the French navy will conduct the first laser weapon attack test in 2023. According to the plan, France will also host the International Naval Equipment Exhibition in October. Recently, under the guidance of the French version of the Indo Pacific Strategy, France has extended its military operations to the Asia Pacific region. On September 14, the foreign ministers of France and India held talks. French Foreign Minister Corona said that France would maintain its presence in the "Indo Pacific region" in all fields. The French Army Special Forces and the Indian Army reached an agreement on deepening cooperation, and France will provide India with training and technical support in counter-terrorism and special operations. The French navy plans to send one or two frigates to the Indian Ocean for anti-terrorism and combat cruises. The French frigate "Portuguese Moon" based in the Western Pacific region will be the first mission ship. In the South Pacific, the French Air Force sent three Rafale fighter jets and several tankers to form a fighter fleet to Australia to participate in large-scale military exercises such as "Heihei-2022" and "Kakadu". The training period was more than one month, and it planned to visit many countries. In the western Pacific Ocean, a French Falcon 2000 reconnaissance aircraft has landed at the Okinawa base in Japan to carry out relevant tasks. In addition, the French navy plans to send a fleet of ships to the Asia Pacific region for activities, or will send related ships to form an ocean formation under the guise of port visits and military exercises, or may send ships to join the US aircraft carrier strike brigade. The future of armaments is unpredictable. France's relevant armament plan looks ambitious, but in fact, its armament posture is full of uncertainties. On the one hand, France has "lost" several large arms sales orders in a row. From Australia
