"The compensation arrears of six years have come back!" Recently, Xiaole's father's phone call let the procurator of Guangping County Procuratorate in Hebei Province hang his heart down. On July 24, 2016, Zhang drove a tricycle and knocked down Xiaole playing on the roadside, resulting in the physical injury of 3-year-old Xiaole, and the treatment cost was 10000 yuan. Identified by the local traffic police department, Zhang assumed full responsibility for the accident. Zhang and Xiaole's father reached a compensation agreement under the auspices of the traffic police, which agreed that Zhang would compensate Xiaole for 10000 yuan of hospitalization expenses before January 1, 2017. On the day of signing the agreement, Zhang paid 2000 yuan. But later, Zhang no longer fulfilled the agreement of the compensation agreement. Xiaole's father asked Zhang many times, but the other party avoided him and refused to pay the subsequent compensation. On October 8, 2021, Xiaole's father failed to find Zhang again. When he was ready to go home, he saw that the prosecutor of Guangping County procuratorate was publicizing the law on the protection of minors. Xiaole's father reflected the relevant situation to the prosecutor and hoped to get help. Subsequently, the prosecutor carried out investigation and verification, paid a return visit to Xiaole's father for the first time, guided him to write an application for supporting the prosecution and submit litigation materials and evidence according to Xiaole's father's wishes. On October 27, 2021, the court accepted the application to support the prosecution. Subsequently, the case handling prosecutor communicated with the village committee of Zhang's village for many times and learned about Zhang from the informed people. "Zhang works outside all year round and has a history of not paying back debts. His wife lives in the county with her children and doesn't communicate with the villagers, so it's difficult to contact him." The case handling prosecutor visited Zhang's close relatives and finally contacted Zhang. Although the prosecutor repeatedly informed Zhang of the legal consequences he would not have to bear if he owed money and stated his interests, Zhang insisted that he had no money. On December 6, 2021, Guangping County procuratorate supported the prosecution of Xiaole's father's civil lawsuit according to law. Since then, the prosecutor and the judge have communicated with both parties for many times, and finally prompted both parties to reach an agreement. On February 10 this year, the court issued a civil mediation statement, which agreed that Zhang would pay the remaining 8000 yuan in compensation within three months. (outlook new era)
