On the 24th, it was learned from the Forestry Bureau of Guangdong Province that Guangdong is focusing on promoting the comprehensive development of the natural education venue system, standard system, industrial system, and communication and promotion system, promoting full coverage of natural education bases in 21 cities throughout the province. We strive to evaluate 20 high-quality natural education demonstration bases, 150 natural education paths, and 300 natural education parks (venues) by 2025, and strive to build a natural education demonstration province. Children participate in nature education activities. This year, Guangdong Forestry Bureau has celebrated the 10th anniversary of exploring and carrying out natural education. As early as 2014, Guangdong took the lead in establishing the country's first nature school in Shenzhen. Since 2018, Guangdong has been promoting the experience of nature education in Shenzhen throughout the province, actively exploring systems, methods, platforms, standards, and operations. It has taken the lead in establishing the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Nature Education Alliance and introduced a series of nationally leading standard systems to promote the standardized, systematic, and scientific development of nature education. The newly revised Guangdong Province Forest Protection and Management Regulations will officially come into effect on July 1, 2023, and for the first time include the construction of natural education bases and natural museums in local regulations. For the past 10 years, Guangdong has made every effort to build provincial-level nature education bases covering various types of natural resources such as forests, wetlands, nature reserves, and state-owned forest farms. It has promoted the construction of various city and county (district) level nature education centers, nature schools, and nature schools in various regions, and focused on building a multi-level nature education base system at the provincial, municipal, and county (district) levels. With the gradual formation and improvement of the natural education system in Guangdong Province, a number of diverse and distinctive natural education venues have emerged, including the Danxia Mountain World Geopark, Guangzhou Haizhu National Wetland Park, South China National Botanical Garden, Shenzhen Overseas Chinese City Wetland Park, and Guangdong Tree Park. As of 2023, the province has identified 115 provincial-level natural education bases. Among them, Guangzhou has 19 provincial-level natural education bases, ranking first in the province in terms of quantity. At the same time as the Forestry Bureau of Guangdong Province provides maps, Guangdong insists on integrating the characteristics of the Bay Area into its natural education work. It has been actively coordinating with the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Region governments, as well as social and NGO organizations, to jointly create a series of natural education brands such as the "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Nature Education Forum and Carnival", "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Nature Education Season", and "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Nature Observation Competition", and accelerate the construction of a "concentric circle" for natural education in the Greater Bay Area. It is reported that Guangdong will continue to expand the scale of identifying provincial natural education bases, gradually build a natural education industry system with leisure tourism, brand activity projects, and characteristic cultural and creative products as the focus, and accelerate the establishment of a natural education standard system with Guangdong characteristics.
