Chinese and foreign tourists visiting the Navy Museum to appreciate the past and future of the Chinese Navy

2024-04-24

On the 23rd, while visiting the People's Liberation Army Navy Museum in Qingdao, Bartholomew, a tourist from Poland, told China News Agency reporters that the Chinese navy is growing stronger and more modernized, but China has never targeted other countries with this. On the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Navy, the Chinese Navy organized a tribute ceremony to the heroes of the People's Navy at the Qingdao Naval Museum. This military museum, which condenses the development history of the People's Navy over the past 75 years, comprehensively reflects the development process of the Chinese Navy. After the ceremony, the museum was opened to the public, with visitors including local citizens, tourists from other places, and many foreign faces. Bartholomew was among them, and this was his second visit to the Chinese Navy Museum. When it comes to his impression of the Chinese Navy, he said that today's Chinese Navy is developing and becoming more modernized, with many mechanized equipment being replaced by electronic equipment. Will the development of China's naval power pose a threat to the world? "No!" When discussing this topic, Bartholomew immediately stated that China has never relied on a strong navy to target other countries, which is different from the approach of some countries. A country can have a strong military force, but it should not be used to oppress others. In the naval exhibition area of the museum, retired ships such as the People's Navy's first destroyer Anshan and China's self-developed first missile destroyer Jinan are docked here for visitors to visit. Mr. Gao, who is 20 years old, came to Qingdao for a business trip and specially visited the Naval Museum. This is his first time seeing the sea and also his first time boarding a Chinese warship, giving me a feeling of broadening my horizons. Mr. Gao told reporters that the development process of the Chinese Navy, from the old-fashioned equipment displayed in the museum to today's advanced active vessels, is touching. "If we could board the Chinese Navy's Type 055 destroyer to visit in the future, the feeling would definitely be better." The younger generation will visit old-fashioned equipment and appreciate the journey of the Chinese Navy's arrival; Navy veterans are looking at new types of ships, but more importantly, they are looking forward to the future development of the People's Navy. As a veteran of China's first generation Marine Corps, Ma Xufeng has been stationed for a long time in front of the amphibious warfare exhibition area. "At that time, our navy's equipment was still very outdated, and we saw a gunboat on the shore, which was very exciting." He said that today's Chinese navy has undergone earth shaking changes, and as a naval veteran, I feel very proud and confident in the future development of the Chinese navy. "I used to serve on minesweepers. Minesweepers were known as' naval engineers' and were responsible for heavy tasks in that era." Navy veteran Xu Baorong said, "Now the tonnage of Chinese navy ships has increased, especially in the past decade, a large number of new types of ships have been launched and put into service, and the development and growth of the Chinese navy are evident.". The 24th is the last day of the Qingdao Shipbuilding Open Event. Xu Baorong said that he and his family will visit the active vessels of the Chinese Navy at Pier 3 of Qingdao Port, and personally experience the achievements of the construction and development of the Chinese Navy.
