The National Medical Products Administration recently announced that according to the "Measures for the Classification Management of Prescription Drugs and Non prescription Drugs (Trial)" (formerly Order No. 10 of the National Medical Products Administration), after being organized by the National Medical Products Administration for verification and review, Xueshan Weibao Capsules and Fuxuekang Granules have been converted from prescription drugs to over-the-counter drugs. The instruction manual of Xueshan Weibao Capsule shows that the main function of this medicine is to strengthen the stomach, reduce digestion, dispel cold and relieve pain. Used for patients with spleen and stomach weakness, epigastric distension and pain caused by cold coagulation and food stagnation, inability to digest food, and chronic superficial gastritis with the above symptoms. The instruction manual of Fuxuekang Granules shows that the main function of this medicine is to promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, stop bleeding, and regulate menstruation. Used for excessive menstrual flow and prolonged menstrual periods caused by blood stasis obstruction. The announcement states that relevant drug marketing license holders are required to file the revised instructions with the provincial drug regulatory department in accordance with the "Drug Registration Management Measures" and other relevant regulations before January 17, 2025, and promptly notify relevant medical institutions, drug trading enterprises, and other units of the revised instructions. Other contents of the instructions for over-the-counter drugs beyond those specified in the template shall be executed in accordance with the original approval certificate. If the drug label involves relevant content, it should be revised together. Drugs produced from the date of supplementary application filing shall not continue to use the original drug instructions.
