At the regular press conference that day, a reporter asked: Recently, the world-renowned management consulting company Colney released the 2024 Global Foreign Direct Investment Confidence Index report, which raised China's ranking from 7th last year to 3rd, ranking first in the emerging market special ranking. Mao Ning said that in recent years, China has introduced and implemented the Foreign Investment Law, improved the foreign-related legal system, strengthened intellectual property protection, and improved institutional norms in various fields, making the investment environment more stable, transparent, and predictable. China is continuously promoting institutional openness and aligning with high-level international economic and trade rules. In 2013, China's first negative list of foreign investment access had 190 items. At present, the national version of this list has been reduced to 31 items, while the free trade zone version only has 27 items. A favorable investment environment and high-level opening-up have enhanced the confidence of foreign-funded enterprises in investing in China.
