The second "Yuze Xiangjiang" Summit Forum, organized by the Financial Services and Treasury Bureau and the Investment Promotion Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, was held in Hong Kong on the 27th. The forum gathers over 400 influential decision-makers and professional teams from global family offices, covering regions such as Hong Kong, mainland China, Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, surpassing last year's first forum in scale. At a dinner held on the 26th, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, emphasized Hong Kong's strength as an international financial center under the "One Country, Two Systems" policy, including its leading position in issuing international bonds, risk management, cross-border wealth management, and green financing within the region. "The advantages of Hong Kong and the solid support of the SAR government for the development of family offices are widely welcomed by family offices and high net worth individuals." On the 27th, the Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR government, Chen Maobo, delivered a welcome speech to the forum, stating that Hong Kong is an ideal city for family offices to settle in. With its unique advantages under the "One Country, Two Systems" policy, it enjoys priority access to the mainland market while maintaining the city's international characteristics, including implementing a common law system, maintaining the free flow of funds, talent, goods, and information, and aligning with the best international regulatory and commercial standards. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government also announced on the 27th that the Hong Kong Institute of Wealth Inheritance will launch a new charity project plan called "Impact Link (iLink)", which will establish a database of excellent charity projects to attract, select, and showcase a series of high potential and high social benefits charity projects. This will help family offices and asset owners carefully evaluate their charity projects of concern, promote their charitable donations, and create a more profound impact on society. The theme of this year's "Yuze Xiangjiang" Summit Forum is "steering in the wind", and the attending guests discussed key issues related to global family offices, including classic brands and inheritance, green technology, charity and wealth inheritance, and cross generational experience sharing in wealth creation.
