The Macau Youth Development Service Center has recruited 10 outstanding Macau youth volunteers to participate in the volunteer service of the Boao Forum for Asia 2024 annual conference. On the 17th, a pre departure training meeting was held to introduce the requirements and content of youth volunteer work in Macau, deepen their understanding of the overall situation of the annual meeting, international situation, and international finance related content. Liang Weite, Chairman of the Macao Committee for the Construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area at the Boao Forum for Asia, encourages Macau youth to understand international development trends and the overall development of the country through volunteer service, and find a better entry point for future integration into the national situation. Mo Yingqian, a representative of Macau youth volunteers who participated in the 2023 Boao Forum for Asia, shared her work experience and insights. She said that serving as a receptionist for foreign media at last year's annual meeting brought her many unexpected gains. Not only did I gain more work experience, but I also met young volunteers from different regions and had in-depth exchanges with each other, bringing young friends from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau closer together. "I believe that the active participation and full dedication of volunteers this year will not be in vain," said Mo Yingqian. Huang Yongxi, Director General of the Macao Youth Development Service Center, pointed out that the center collaborates with various forces to create conditions, provide convenience, and lay the foundation for Macao youth volunteers to play an active role at the Boao Forum for Asia 2024 annual meeting. It is hoped that Macao youth will shine with abundant mental state and professional skills on the international stage of the forum, and bravely shoulder the historical responsibility of promoting regional and even global peace and prosperity.
