Revitalizing intellectual resources in universities, enriching historical and cultural nourishment

2024-03-19

Tracing the source of history is the key to understanding the real world, and following the cultural foundation is the key to identifying China today. University museums were initially established to serve teaching and research in schools. With the continuous prosperity and development of the museum industry, university museums have become an important platform for popularizing scientific knowledge to the public and conducting external exchanges. Recently, many university museums have been open to the public, and the historical relics, passed down skills, and research achievements that were originally "hidden in the boudoir" have become public resources within everyone's reach. This not only revitalizes the rich intellectual resources and youthful energy of universities, but also enhances the curation ability and research quality of museums. University museums have become an important venue for inheriting Chinese culture and telling Chinese stories well. In the face of the increasingly heated "museum fever" in recent years, in order to help the public better understand the historical origins and cultural stories behind cultural relics, university museums need to make efforts in the following three aspects: first, to make good use of basic exhibitions, and also to organize temporary exhibitions, making university museums an important window for teachers, students, and the public to enhance regional cultural awareness and perceive the charm of Chinese civilization. On the one hand, efforts should be made to showcase the regional culture of the museum and clarify the relationship between regional culture and mainstream Chinese culture. On the other hand, curation ability should be regarded as the core competitiveness of museums, and more original exhibition brands should be created to enable teachers, students, and the general public to perceive the continuous and brilliant development of Chinese civilization. Secondly, it is necessary to activate the intellectual resources of universities and provide sufficient support for various curation activities; We need to activate the youth power of universities and spread the torch for the construction of modern civilization of the Chinese nation. Making the collection of cultural relics in university museums come to life and move, promoting the public's better inheritance and promotion of excellent traditional Chinese culture, and continuously cultivating and creating socialist culture with Chinese characteristics in the new era, is the mission of the times that university museums shoulder. In recent years, major university museums have organized on campus teachers and students to form volunteer explanation teams, providing professional and meticulous science popularization services, allowing the power of youth to better collide with traditional culture. This not only cultivates the seeds of patriotism in the hearts of young students, but also tells people the stories behind cultural relics, inspiring tourists to feel national pride and confidence. Thirdly, we should actively apply the latest digital information technology and enhance interactivity and experience by combining static and dynamic displays; We need to strengthen the research and development of cultural and creative products, so that more people can take museums home. Specifically, on the one hand, we need to do a good job in venue education and exhibition education. Relevant universities and museums can jointly organize academic activities such as archaeological lectures, academic seminars on cultural relics and literature materials, and cultural relics protection and restoration projects, providing high-quality and professional academic services. On the other hand, we must adhere to expanding online, extending to the cloud, and approaching the audience, in order to stimulate the vitality and vitality of Chinese culture in the cloud. The cultural and creative products currently launched by university museums are generally relatively single, which can strengthen creative design and launch cultural and creative products with school charm and characteristics, so that cultural and creative products can enter the vision and life of more young people, and the stories behind them can be inherited and carried forward.
