The 2024 National Drug Sampling Work Conference was recently held. The meeting comprehensively summarized the achievements of national drug sampling in recent years, analyzed the current situation in depth, and deployed the work for 2024. The meeting pointed out that more than 200000 batches of various drugs are randomly inspected nationwide every year, and the total qualification rate has remained stable at over 99% for many consecutive years. The quality of drugs in China continues to maintain a high level, and the overall situation of drug safety is stable and controllable. The safety of public medication is effectively guaranteed. The meeting requires that the sampling work should improve the system and mechanism, firmly adhere to the bottom line of drug quality and safety, continuously strengthen efficient supervision, and promote the high-quality development of the pharmaceutical industry.
