2024-03-13

On the 12th, Flight UO260 of Hong Kong Express Airlines successfully arrived at Beijing Daxing International Airport, marking the official entry of Hong Kong Express Airlines into Daxing Airport. It is reported that the Beijing Daxing round-trip route of Hong Kong Express Airlines plans to operate one round-trip flight per day, with flight numbers UO260 and UO261 respectively. Li Ziwei, Business Manager of the Aviation Business Department of Daxing Airport, introduced that after the opening of the Hong Kong Express Air route, not only has the daily average flight volume from Daxing Airport to Hong Kong increased, but the flight schedule distribution covers early, middle, and late hours, effectively improving the service level and market competitiveness of Daxing Airport. As an international aviation hub, Hong Kong has a unique geographical location and connectivity advantages. The opening of this route will further promote economic cooperation, trade exchanges, and cultural exchanges between Beijing and Hong Kong, better meeting the travel needs of passengers for business, tourism, education, and other purposes. A visiting group from Hong Kong, arranged by airport staff, embarked on a study tour: stamping and checking in on 3D printed landscapes, taking photos in front of Beijing's central axis art installations... "Daxing Airport gives people a feeling of spaciousness and comfort. Today, we took students to study at the airport. The design concepts and art installations inside the airport allowed us to experience Beijing's profound cultural heritage and technological innovation." Li Weilang, a teacher of Huaren Primary School at the Hong Kong Panyu Club, said, "In recent years, the school has strengthened exchanges and enhanced mutual understanding with its sister schools in the mainland. In the future, the school hopes to further understand the daily life of mainland citizens and deepen mutual friendship." "I am very excited about taking the first flight, and all kinds of Dim sum on the plane are delicious." Yi Xiejia, a pupil of Lixian School in Kowloon, Hong Kong, said, "Beijing is very beautiful, and this trip is short. In the future, I want to visit the Forbidden City and the Great Wall." "This is my second time coming to Beijing, and Daxing Airport is very spectacular. Today's study tour has taught me a lot about Daxing Airport. Seeing the five-star red flag hanging above the terminal of Daxing Airport, I feel very proud," said Wang Junxi, a sixth grade student from Hong Kong. It is reported that thanks to the strong recovery of short distance leisure tourism, the flight volume of Hong Kong Express Airlines has returned to pre pandemic levels in 2023. Hong Kong Express Airlines hopes to expand its mainland route network, promote cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and the mainland, and enable Hong Kong people, especially young people, to have a deeper understanding of the history, culture, and social development of the mainland.
