On February 23, the Exit Entry Administration of the People's Republic of China announced that the State Council has recently approved the addition of Xi'an in Shaanxi Province and Qingdao in Shandong Province as "individual travel" cities from mainland China to Hong Kong and Macao. The Exit Entry Administration of the People's Republic of China has decided to issue "personal travel visas" for eligible individuals traveling between Hong Kong and Macao in Xi'an and Qingdao from March 6, 2024. Residents with registered residence in Xi'an and Qingdao, as well as holders of residence permits, can submit applications at the entry and exit management manual window of Xi'an and Qingdao public security organs, or at the intelligent endorsement equipment located in the manual window, and choose to handle "individual tourism endorsement" or "team tourism endorsement" at their own discretion, without submitting the application materials. Personal travel endorsement includes: endorsement once every 3 months, endorsement twice every 3 months, endorsement once a year, and endorsement twice a year when traveling to Hong Kong; Go to Macau for endorsement once every 3 months and once a year.
