The first domestic cross sea bridge on the same floor of a public railway, the Zhuhai Jinhai Highway Bridge Phase I project, was officially opened on the 3rd. It is understood that the Jinhai Highway Bridge project starts from the Hongwan Interchange Hub of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge connection line in the north and ends at the Airport West Interchange of the Zhuhai Airport Expressway. The total length of the route is 26.3 kilometers, and the project will be implemented in two phases. The first phase of the project, which is currently completed, is 17.136 kilometers long and has a two-way six lane design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. Among them, the Jinhai Bridge spans 10.33 kilometers across the sea, making it the first cross sea bridge on the same level between public and railway in China. On that day, the second phase of the Zhuji Intercity Railway was opened synchronously. The Zhuhai the Pearl River Airport Intercity Railway is an extension of the Guangzhou Zhuhai Intercity Railway. It starts from Zhuhai Station of the Guangzhou Zhuhai Urban Railway in the east, passes through the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone and the Modaomen Waterway at the mouth of the Pearl River in the west, and ends at Zhuhai Airport. The whole journey is 39.24km. The whole line is equipped with 10 passenger stations, with a design speed of 100km/h. It is constructed and opened to traffic in two phases. The relevant person in charge of the Zhuhai Transportation Bureau introduced that the opening of the Jinhai Bridge will greatly shorten the transportation time from the main urban area and cooperation zone of Zhuhai to the western urban area and Zhuhai Jinwan Airport. With the completion of projects such as the first phase of the Jinhai Bridge and the second phase of the Zhuji Intercity Railway, the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone has integrated into the national expressway and railway network, achieving rapid connectivity with Zhuhai Airport and making external travel more convenient. This not only promotes functional coordination and industrial linkage with Zhuhai Airport, Zhuhai Port, and the western Guangdong region, but also expands the space for industrial development.
