The second is that the transportation structure presents a "three increases and one decrease" trend: personalized travel methods such as private cars, ride hailing services, and intercity carpooling are becoming more and more common. The proportion of passenger traffic in civil aviation, railway, and waterway transportation has significantly increased, while the proportion of passenger traffic in road transportation may decrease to about 50%. The province plans to invest 390 passenger ships and 79000 passenger seats in 96 waterway passenger routes. During the peak period of the Spring Festival travel rush, the Qiongzhou Strait plans to deploy over 270 voyages per day. The province plans to operate 1390.5 pairs of trains, an increase of 81.5 pairs and 6.2% year-on-year. The proportion of high-speed rail capacity investment has increased from 85.9% in 2023 to 87.6%.
