Li Jiachao said that in the current complex and ever-changing world political and economic situation, some Western politicians and media constantly fabricate lies, spread false images, and smear Hong Kong for their own political interests, which completely goes against the facts. He said that in the face of these immoral individuals, Hong Kong journalists should unite, take the initiative, and become professional. They should spread Hong Kong's unique advantages, international business environment, nearby natural scenery, and every real good story to the world, and counter those smears and attacks against Hong Kong. Li Jiachao emphasized the need to widely promote the spirit of safeguarding national sovereignty, security, and development interests in society, and to cultivate patriotism in the hearts of the people.
