On January 1st, with the sound of a whistle and under the supervision of Guangzhou Station Customs, a X8426 train loaded with household appliances, toys, clothing, shoes, and other "Guangzhou goods" departed from Guangzhou International Port Station and is expected to arrive in the European market in 15 days. This is the first China Europe freight train to be launched in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area during the New Year, and the "Steel Camel Train" has started its new year of operation. This year marks the eighth year of the operation of the Guangzhou China Europe freight train. At present, there are 14 import and export train routes with Guangzhou International Port as the starting/ending point, connecting about 40 cities in more than 20 countries and regions including Western Europe, Eastern Europe, West Asia, Central Asia, East Asia, and Southeast Asia, providing a stable international logistics channel for more than 3000 foreign trade enterprises. The China Europe freight train routes are becoming increasingly dense, and the structure of import and export goods is constantly optimizing. Guangzhou Customs focuses on the development needs of new forms of foreign trade, providing policy guidance and customs clearance process guidance for "one enterprise, one policy" and "one column, one policy". It has successively launched multiple characteristic routes in Guangzhou International Port, including customized export trains for domestic new energy vehicle sets and parts, local high-quality home appliance trains, and communication equipment special trains, continuously expanding the export of high value-added goods such as white goods, communication equipment, electronic products, and new energy vehicles. Data shows that in 2023, Guangzhou Railway Station Customs supervised a total of 599 import and export trains and shipped approximately 55000 standard containers at Guangzhou International Port, an increase of 83.18% and 91.93% year-on-year, respectively.
