In many parts of the country, news of the deployment of computing power centers has made new progress. The so-called computing power refers to the ability to process data. From smartphones and personal computers to servers and supercomputers, computing power is entering thousands of households and serving various industries, becoming a public basic resource like water, electricity, and gas, providing "on-demand" social services. The wave of AI is sweeping, and the demand for computing power is constantly increasing. As the foundation of new era technology, the intelligent computing power industry is flourishing. The intelligent computing center is accelerating its rise in the core area of Jiuxianqiao in Chaoyang District, Beijing, and the construction of the Beijing Digital Economy Computing Power Center is in full swing. The computing power center is built by Beijing Electronics Digital Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Beidian Digital Intelligence"), a high-tech enterprise under Beijing Electronics Holding Co., Ltd. that provides large-scale advanced intelligent computing power, AI cloud, and AI transformation services. It is expected to complete infrastructure construction by 2024 and achieve a diversified and heterogeneous supply of 1000P intelligent computing power upon completion. Jiang Guangzhi, Director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, recently revealed that preliminary statistics show that Beijing has formed a total computing power supply scale of 12000 P. The next step is to accelerate the construction of computing power infrastructure, create the Beijing Tianjin Hebei computing power corridor, and form a computing power supply system in the capital region that is mainly based on intelligent computing power, with diversified coordination of general computing power and super computing power. Since the beginning of this year, the emergence of ChatGPT has sparked a global wave of large-scale models, and this strong demand has instantly spread upstream, making the computing power that supports large-scale model training and reasoning a "battleground" for military strategists. As a new type of infrastructure in the era of intelligence, intelligent computing centers are ushering in a window of opportunity for rapid growth. In October 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and six other departments jointly issued the Action Plan for High Quality Development of Computing Power Infrastructure, which proposed quantitative indicators such as building 50 intelligent computing centers by 2025. In terms of computing power, by 2025, the scale will exceed 300EFLOPS, and the proportion of intelligent computing power will reach 35%. Zheng Weimin, an academician of the CAE Member and a professor of the computer department of Tsinghua University, said that, on the whole, China's computing infrastructure scale has ranked among the top in the world, but per capita computing power is still low. In the era of digital economy, the further development of artificial intelligence requires close collaboration between software and hardware to further accelerate the improvement of computing power and utilization efficiency. In the future, new data centers will be computing power clusters that provide diverse computing capabilities to meet the intelligent needs of thousands of industries. In mid November, the concept stock of computing power leasing, Huina Technology, announced that due to a significant increase in computing power demand, the computing power service fees for its high-performance servers embedded with NVIDIA A100 chips will be increased by 100%. The trend of Huina Technology is just a microcosm of China's computing power market environment.
