Recently, the State Council officially approved the establishment of Foshan Comprehensive Bonded Zone, which is the third comprehensive bonded zone within the Guangzhou Customs area, following the Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Guangzhou Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone. Foshan Comprehensive Bonded Zone is located in Xingtan Town, Shunde District, Foshan City, with a planned area of 1.13 square kilometers. It is only 1-1.5 hours by car from Foshan Shadi Airport, Pearl River Delta Hub Airport (under construction), and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. It is only 1.5 kilometers away from Shunde New Port, the largest river sea intermodal foreign trade branch port in the west bank of the the Pearl River, and it also connects Foshan Rongqi Port, Beijiao Port, and Leliu Port, and connects Shunde, Nanhai, Jiangmen and important import and export trade zones around. As an important platform for the construction of an open economy in the country, the comprehensive bonded zone has the policy advantages of "entry bonded, entry tax refund, and tax exemption within the zone". From January to October this year, the total import and export value of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Guangzhou Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone exceeded 100 billion yuan, accounting for about 10% of Guangzhou's total import and export value during the same period. It is reported that the approved Foshan Comprehensive Bonded Zone will fully leverage its geographical and policy advantages to assist Foshan in developing bonded processing, bonded logistics, bonded services, and other businesses. It will provide low-cost and high-efficiency advantages for Guangdong to carry out export-oriented production and processing, goods distribution and distribution, transit trade, and cross-border logistics business, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of foreign trade in Foshan and even Guangdong. "The approval of Foshan Comprehensive Bonded Zone marks a new stage of Foshan's opening up to the outside world, adding new momentum to the high-level opening up and high-quality development of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area."
