From a strategic perspective, rebuilding a new Guangdong needs to create a new support system and establish a modern industrial system, which is also the only way to promote Chinese path to modernization. In the beginning year of fully implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Guangdong, which shoulders the glorious mission of "building a new Guangdong", where should we solve the problem? Accelerate the main battlefield of new industrialization in the Pearl River Delta, accelerate the promotion of new industrialization, and build a new Guangdong. Guangdong has both a sense of mission and urgency. As an important engine of China's economic growth, Guangdong has three extremely prominent positions in the overall reform and opening up, namely "vanguard, pioneer, and experimental zone", with the main focus on "pioneering and exploring experience." Looking back at history, from developing the Shenzhen and Zhuhai Special Economic Zones to shouldering the responsibility of creating demonstration zones for socialism with Chinese characteristics, the Party Central Committee has always encouraged Guangdong to boldly explore and practice. Trying first has become a fine tradition in Guangdong since the reform and opening up. Guangdong, which is at the forefront, has always spoken with its development achievements. In terms of total GDP, Guangdong Province's GDP exceeded 12.9 trillion yuan in 2022, ranking first in the country for 34 consecutive years, accounting for 11% of the country's GDP and nearly one ninth of the country's GDP. From the perspective of foreign trade, Guangdong's total import and export value in 2022 accounted for 19.8% of the country's total import and export value, ranking first in the country for 37 consecutive years, approaching one-fifth of the country's total. Behind the economic output and foreign trade data, Guangdong has worked hard and accumulated a strong manufacturing foundation after more than 40 years. In 2022, the total output value of Guangdong's manufacturing industry exceeded 16 trillion yuan, with an added value of 4.4 trillion yuan, accounting for one eighth of the national total and over one-third of the province's GDP. The nine cities in the Pearl River Delta are the backbone of Guangdong's industry. Based on the list of "Top 100 Advanced Manufacturing Cities", last year 11 cities in Guangdong were listed as "Top 100 Advanced Manufacturing Cities", with all nine cities in the Pearl River Delta included. Shenzhen and Guangzhou ranked first and third respectively. It can be said that accelerating the promotion of new industrialization and developing new quality productive forces, the Pearl River Delta is not only the main force, but also the main battlefield.
