State Councilor Chen Yiqin recently conducted research on employment and basic livelihood security services in Guangdong. From the 4th to the 5th, Chen Yiqin visited Guangzhou and Qingyuan cities in Guangdong Province, conducting in-depth research on enterprise employment, grassroots employment and entrepreneurship services, supporting youth employment and entrepreneurship in Hong Kong and Macao, labor rights protection, grassroots social assistance, and community elderly care services. Chen Yiqin pointed out that in response to the characteristics of the employment situation at the end of the year and the beginning of the year, we should strengthen the priority orientation of employment, implement detailed employment support policies, and support enterprises to stabilize and expand employment opportunities. Continuously optimizing employment and entrepreneurship services, increasing vocational skills training efforts, and effectively focusing on the employment of key groups such as college graduates, veterans, and migrant workers. Efforts will be made to strengthen the protection of the rights and interests of flexible employment personnel and workers in new forms of employment, and to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests. We need to leverage the role of employment promotion mechanisms and form a strong joint force of government, enterprises, human resources service institutions, social organizations, and other aspects to support stable employment and employment expansion. Chen Yiqin emphasized the need to adhere to bottom line thinking, strengthen basic livelihood guarantees, coordinate rescue resources, improve service capabilities, and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of hierarchical and classified social assistance. We need to accelerate the construction of home-based community elderly care service networks, develop elderly meal assistance services tailored to local conditions, and enable the elderly to enjoy a happy old age.
