On December 5th, the "Measures for Supporting the Agglomeration and Development of Hong Kong and Macao Medical Institutions in Qianhai Shenzhen Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone" (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures") were released in Qianhai, Shenzhen. In order to attract medical institutions from Hong Kong and Macao to settle in Qianhai and achieve cluster development, 11 core support measures have been innovatively proposed around the establishment, operation, and development of medical institutions in Hong Kong and Macao. Among them, medical institutions from Hong Kong and Macao can receive a maximum reward of 20 million yuan for settling in Qianhai. According to the regulations, eligible medical institutions in Hong Kong and Macao can apply for funding, with funding amounts distributed over three years at 50%, 30%, and 20%. In terms of funding standards, secondary and tertiary hospitals that establish Hong Kong and Macau wholly-owned comprehensive hospitals can apply for funding of 8 million yuan and 20 million yuan respectively. For the establishment of a Hong Kong Macau joint venture comprehensive hospital, first level hospitals, second level hospitals, and third level hospitals can apply for funding of 4 million yuan, 6.4 million yuan, and 16 million yuan respectively. For the establishment of specialized hospitals solely owned by Hong Kong and Macao, second level hospitals and third level hospitals can apply for funding of 4.8 million yuan and 12 million yuan respectively. For the establishment of Hong Kong Macau joint venture specialized hospitals, first level hospitals, second level hospitals, and third level hospitals can apply for funding of 2.4 million yuan, 3.8 million yuan, and 9.6 million yuan respectively. Those who hold outpatient clinics in Hong Kong and Macau can apply for a subsidy of 1 million yuan. Those who hold clinics in Hong Kong and Macau can apply for a subsidy of 500000 yuan. The method also provides corresponding subsidies for medical institutions in Hong Kong and Macao to purchase medical equipment, purchase properties, and hire medical professionals and technicians from Hong Kong and Macao. On that day, Qianhai's first international social health service center (Hong Kong and Macao Residents Health Service Center) was officially opened. This social health service is located in Qianhai International Talent Port, operated in cooperation between Qianhai Shekou Free Trade Zone Hospital and Hong Kong Greater Bay Area Medical Group. By introducing a Hong Kong Gold Medal General Practitioner Team and other means, it provides high-quality Hong Kong style diagnostic and treatment services for residents of Qianhai, Hong Kong and Macao, as well as international individuals. It also builds a landing platform for the implementation of the Shenzhen Hong Kong cross-border connection of "Institutional Connect", "Hong Kong Medical Connect", "Medical Device Connect", "Hong Kong Insurance Connect" and "Standard Connect", Promote the cross-border integration and development of medical services in Qianhai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong.
