The 7th China Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition and the 2023 Volunteer Service Exchange Conference (hereinafter referred to as the "Expo") were held in Shantou, Guangdong from December 1st to 3rd. Nearly 300 representatives from volunteer service organizations from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao participated in the exchange conference. This exchange meeting was initiated and organized by the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Volunteer Service Alliance. It is reported that the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Volunteer Service Alliance is a non-profit social cooperation mechanism voluntarily formed by public welfare, charity, and volunteer service organizations in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. On December 1st, the first council of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Volunteer Service Alliance was officially established, and the alliance's charter was reviewed and approved. The alliance entered a new stage of substantive and institutionalized operation. At the Zhihui Fair, it was officially announced that 12 initiators, including the Guangdong Volunteer Federation, Guangdong Youth Volunteer Association, Hong Kong Youth Association, Hong Kong Amusement Park Association, Volunteer Work Development Bureau, Greater Bay Area Common Home Youth Public Welfare Fund, Macau Volunteer Association, Macau Community Volunteer Federation, Macau Volunteer Youth Association, Macau Youth Volunteer Association, and Macau Chinese New Youth Association, have joined forces, Nine of the first participating units, including Guangzhou Youth Volunteer Association, Shenzhen Volunteer Federation, Zhuhai Youth Volunteer Association, Foshan Youth Volunteer Association, Huizhou Volunteer Federation, Dongguan Youth Volunteer Association, Zhongshan Youth Volunteer Association, Jiangmen Wuyi Volunteer Federation, and Zhaoqing Volunteer Federation, have become members of the first council of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Volunteer Service Alliance. After consultation, the first council president of the alliance is the Guangdong Volunteer Federation, and the vice president units are the Guangdong Youth Volunteer Association, the Volunteer Work Development Bureau, and the Macau Volunteer Federation. In addition, the meeting also identified the key work projects of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Volunteer Service Alliance (2023-2025), with a focus on carrying out six major projects. One is to support the construction of volunteer service practice bases in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area in Hengqin, Qianhai, Nansha and other areas with conditions, and encourage eligible volunteer service organizations in Hong Kong and Macao to register and file in Guangdong, and legally rely on the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Volunteer Service Practice Base to carry out volunteer public welfare activities in accordance with regulations; The second is to establish the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Volunteer Service Alliance Office in Hengqin, Qianhai, and Nansha, to become the "first stop" for Hong Kong and Macao volunteer public welfare organizations to enter Guangdong; The third is to carry out the selection and commendation activities of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Volunteer Service (Volunteer) Award, accelerate the promotion of mutual recognition and incentive sharing of volunteer services; Fourthly, taking the hosting of the 15th National Games in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau in 2025 as an opportunity, we will explore the establishment of a cross regional volunteer exchange mechanism in the Greater Bay Area, and jointly cultivate a large competition volunteer team with an international perspective and familiarity with mainland affairs; The fifth is to hold annual rotation of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Volunteer Service Integration and Development Exchange Conference in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau; The sixth is to implement the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Volunteer Service Collaborative Development Capacity Enhancement Plan, and regularly carry out training, learning, and exchange activities for Guangdong Hong Kong Macao volunteer backbone.
