Lin Xiqiang, Deputy Director of the China Manned Space Engineering Office, expressed in Hong Kong on the 28th that he hopes to see astronauts from Hong Kong and Macao enter the space station of China as soon as possible, and the payload designed by the Hong Kong and Macao scientific and educational circles conduct experiments on the space station of China. On the noon of November 28th, the manned space engineering delegation arrived in Hong Kong and began a 6-day visit to Hong Kong and Macau. In the afternoon, Lin Xiqiang stated at the meeting that in previous flight missions, Hong Kong and Macao had participated in the construction of China's manned spaceflight industry multiple times; In response to the current mission, various sectors from Hong Kong and Macao have actively participated in the selection of the fourth batch of reserve astronaut payload experts, the solicitation of space station science and application projects, the selection of experimental payloads for Tianzhou cargo spacecraft, and the development of manned lunar rovers. "We clearly feel that the participation scope and degree of the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Region are becoming wider and deeper," he said. The fourth batch of preparatory astronaut selection work in China was launched last year, and for the first time, payload experts were selected in the Hong Kong and Macao regions. Lin Xiqiang said that candidates from Hong Kong and Macau SAR have entered the final stage of payload expert selection, and the selection work plan is to be completed by the end of the year. Lin Xiqiang also stated that the Chinese space station will be open to the world and welcomes all countries and regions committed to the peaceful use of outer space to cooperate with China and participate in the Chinese space station mission together. At present, the relevant work is in the preparatory stage, and China is in communication and negotiations with space agencies from multiple countries and regions around the world. The final order for foreign astronauts to enter has not yet been determined. On November 28th, at a press conference, high-definition panoramic photos of the space station assembly captured by the Shenzhou-16 spacecraft during its orbit were first released. At the meeting, a panoramic photo of the space station assembly was released for the first time by the crew of Shenzhou 16, who held a high-definition camera and flew around the spacecraft before returning to the ground. This is the first time China has obtained a panoramic image of a space station assembly with Earth as the background in orbit, and also the first set of fully configured working photos of China's space station. After the meeting, the delegation attended a welcome banquet held by the SAR government and met with people from all walks of life in Hong Kong. The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, delivered a speech at the dinner party, stating that China's manned space program has made one breakthrough after another over the past 30 years, demonstrating to the world how to move towards the space dream at the "Chinese speed". Li Jiachao said, believing that the delegation's visit to Hong Kong will bring about a space boom in Hong Kong, enhance citizens' identification with the country, and promote the mainstream values centered on patriotism and love for Hong Kong, which are in line with the "One Country, Two Systems" policy. At the invitation of the governments of the Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions, a manned space engineering delegation will visit Hong Kong and Macau from November 28th to December 3rd. The delegation was led by Lin Xiqiang, including 17 people, including Liu Boming, an astronaut of the Shenzhou 12 crew, Wang Yaping, an astronaut of the Shenzhou 13 crew, Chen Dong, the commander of the Shenzhou XIV crew, Zhang Lu, an astronaut of the Shenzhou 15 crew, and experts in the field of manned space engineering systems.
