According to monitoring data from the National Postal Administration, the postal industry completed a total of 129.72 billion postal services from January to October this year, a year-on-year increase of 14.3%. On the day of Double 11, a total of 639 million express packages were collected, which was 1.87 times the daily business volume and a year-on-year increase of 15.76%. There are more and more express deliveries, but the operation is smoother and the service is more timely. The transition of express delivery enterprises from traditional logistics to modern digital logistics is fully confirmed, from the initial burst of express delivery to the current minute and second delivery. The changes are mainly due to two factors. On the one hand, express delivery companies continuously strengthen their information integration with e-commerce platforms, such as using staggered payment and delivery methods, effectively solving the pressure of express delivery shortages; On the other hand, while expanding and upgrading in terms of venue, vehicles, sorting equipment, etc., express delivery companies actively apply modern information technology and intelligent equipment to improve automation, unmanned, and intelligent levels, greatly improving operational efficiency. In recent years, China has introduced a series of planning measures to support the digital transformation of the logistics industry and promote the stable and positive operation of logistics. With the deepening of the construction of Digital China, digital technology is accelerating its penetration into various fields, and the express delivery industry has achieved rapid development. Since 2013, China's express delivery industry has increased from an average of 10 billion pieces per year to the current average of 10 billion pieces per month, and the business volume is still continuously breaking records. Thanks to the widespread application of modern information technology and new smart equipment, various express delivery companies have utilized technologies such as big data and cloud computing in warehousing, transportation, sorting, and distribution. Through measures such as warehouse pre planning, inventory decomposition, and route optimization, they have achieved business differentiation, reduced costs, and improved profitability. Digitization is not only a means to improve the internal management efficiency of express delivery enterprises, but also an important way to adapt to market changes, meet customer needs, and maintain competitiveness. The digital transformation of express delivery enterprises will gain more competitive advantages and release more production capacity on the basis of economies of scale. This is an inevitable requirement for service and value sharing, and also the significance of building core competitiveness for express delivery enterprises. However, for express delivery companies, seizing digital opportunities and achieving transformation and upgrading is not an easy task. Therefore, enterprises should actively adapt to new development requirements, continuously improve their data generation, data governance, and data analysis capabilities, not only promote digitalization throughout the entire business process, but also integrate financial, human resources and other management links, striving to catch the smart fast train and achieve better development.
