The research paradigm and organizational model have undergone tremendous changes, and the research paradigm and thinking mode of a single discipline are difficult to achieve significant breakthroughs in scientific and technological innovation and solve complex problems. Interdisciplinary integration has become an important source of innovation. In the era of "big science", it is necessary to adhere to the liberation of the mind, strengthen systematic thinking, and build a more scientific, smooth, and efficient institutional mechanism by clarifying various relationships and functional boundaries, creating a good environment for interdisciplinary exploration of the forefront of science and technology. One is to clarify the relationship between the college and research institutions, clarify the functional positioning of the college and research institutions. The college focuses on talent cultivation, discipline construction, and exploratory research, while the research institutions focus on organized research and interdisciplinary research. The second is to streamline the relationship between research institutions, classify and explore the development of management methods based on the characteristics and positioning of different types of research institutions such as national and provincial platforms, school entities and virtual research institutions, and remote research institutions, plan to establish cutting-edge cross research institutes, and establish a sound management system for research institutions.
