From March 11th to 14th, the 28th Hong Kong International Film and Television Exhibition was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. For the first time, Guangzhou set up a Guangzhou exhibition area at the International Film and Television Exhibition. The Guangzhou Cultural, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau and 17 municipal radio, television, and online audiovisual institutions collectively appeared, showcasing the achievements of Guangzhou's film and television industry in recent years and further promoting the integration of radio, television, and online audiovisual development in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Exciting and diverse, Guangzhou is striving to promote the coordinated development of the broadcasting and television industry in the Greater Bay Area. For the first time, a Guangzhou exhibition area has been set up at an international film and television exhibition, showcasing the latest development achievements of 17 municipal broadcasting and television and online audiovisual institutions. The content covers multiple fields such as TV dramas, anime, and documentaries. Through exquisite production technology and unique artistic perspectives, Guangzhou showcases the innovative driving force of the broadcasting and television industry to international buyers, allowing "Guangzhou Creation" to quickly reach billions of viewers. During this period, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and the Hong Kong Trade Development Bureau jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Cooperation in the Film and Television Industry between Guangzhou and Hong Kong, deepening cooperation between film and television enterprises in project investment, production and distribution, market expansion, and jointly exploring effective paths for complementary and win-win development of the film and television industry. In recent years, Guangzhou has actively leveraged the cultural influence of Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao, which share the same roots and voice, to establish a normalized cooperation mechanism for the film and television industry in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao. In 2023, the first Guangzhou Hong Kong Macao Film and Television Industry Project Matchmaking Conference was successfully held in Guangzhou, bringing together 52 film and television institutions, industry associations, and key online platforms from Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao. The conference released the "Proposal to Strengthen Cooperation in the Guangzhou Hong Kong Macao Film and Television Industry" and facilitated the signing of a number of project agreements, such as "I'm Waiting for You in the Bay Area". The conference also reached cooperation intentions with more than 10 institutions such as the New York Film Academy and Radio Hong Kong in the United States, achieving healthy cooperation and sustainable and integrated development among film and television institutions in the three regions. On the afternoon of March 11th, the 21st China (Guangzhou) International Documentary Festival Global Collection Conference was successfully held in the Guangdong Pavilion of the Hong Kong International Film and Television Exhibition, marking the beginning of a new documentary journey with mutual learning of civilizations. The annual commitment to Guangzhou was extended to outstanding documentary filmmakers from all over the world. At the press conference, the Executive Office of the Organizing Committee of the China (Guangzhou) International Documentary Festival and China Aolaiwu Investment Holding Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Strategic Cooperation of the Guangzhou Macao Film and Television Festival Exhibition, establishing a strategic partnership to deepen the deep integration and exchange of the film and television industries in Guangzhou and Australia, and jointly exploring the cooperation model of the film and television industry in Guangzhou and Australia. As the largest documentary professional festival in Asia, the China (Guangzhou) International Documentary Festival has participated in over 33000 exhibitions since its establishment in 2003, with an intended transaction volume exceeding 3.3 billion yuan. The festival is committed to telling the story of China well, spreading the voice of China, and building a communication bridge between Chinese and foreign documentaries with an international, industrialized, and professional approach and perspective. It strives to create an international stage that showcases the prosperity and development of Chinese documentaries, witnessing cultural exchange and integration between China and the world, and bringing visual and spiritual feasts to audiences around the world.
