After passing through the "source" stone tablet at the entrance, four electric pumping stations will come into people's eyes. This is the Jiangdu Water Conservancy Hub, the largest power drainage and irrigation project in China, the largest pumping station hub in Asia, and the starting point of the East Line of the South to North Water Diversion Project. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the official opening of the East Line of the South to North Water Diversion Project. Recently, a reporter from Science and Technology Daily visited the 1467 kilometer long East Line Phase I of the South to North Water Diversion Project with an interview organized by China South to North Water Diversion Group. The first phase of the East Line of the South to North Water Diversion Project has preliminarily constructed the main framework and artery of the eastern national water network. In the past 10 years, the guarantee rate of domestic and industrial water supply in cities within the water receiving area of the project has increased from less than 80% to over 97%. The difference between the water level of Dongping Lake at the highest point on the east line and the terrain of the Yangtze River is nearly 40 meters, making it a reality that "water flows upwards". The key to turning the river upstream and crossing a 40 meter elevation lies in the pumping station group that raises the water level. When the reporter walked into the pump room of the fourth pumping station, 7 pumps were running and emitting bursts of roar. Liu Jun, former deputy general manager of Jiangsu Water Source, took Baoying Station as an example to introduce that the blade adjustment mechanism is a key component for adjusting the operating conditions of water pumps and implementing optimized operation. In China, hydraulic pressure is mostly used, which drives the piston up and down with pressure oil to adjust the blade angle. But this will bring about oil seepage problems and easily pollute the lake water, and the South to North Water Diversion is mainly for supplying domestic water, which must be addressed. The team ultimately developed an environmentally friendly regulation system with strong adaptability and oil leakage prevention, achieving the localization of a new regulation structure. After rigorous comparison and selection of pump station technical schemes, equipment investment has been saved by more than 90 million yuan, and pump station efficiency has generally increased to over 70%.
