The Advisory Committee, under the leadership of the Ministry of Education, is responsible for research, consultation, monitoring, evaluation, scientific popularization, guidance and guidance of mental health work in primary and secondary schools nationwide. The main responsibilities include organizing professional forces, developing a mental health assessment tool library suitable for the characteristics of primary and secondary schools in China, establishing a comprehensive research system and monitoring mechanism, and tracking, monitoring, and predicting the mental health status of primary and secondary school students; Conduct in-depth scientific research to promote forward-looking thinking, global planning, and overall promotion of student mental health work in various regions and schools; Integrate multiple resources to provide more professional, convenient, and effective mental health services for primary and secondary school students; Conduct preliminary research on important decisions and top-level design, providing consultation and decision-making reference opinions for policy formulation; Utilize professional advantages, classify and promote science popularization to groups such as students, parents, and teachers. The Advisory Committee is composed of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary General, and members, with a term of four years each. The work of the Advisory Committee is chaired by the Chairman, and the Secretariat is located at Beijing Normal University, responsible for the daily work of the Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee implements an "integrated+regional" organizational mechanism, which is divided into North China and Northeast China, East China, Central and South China, Southwest China, and Northwest China based on geographical regions. Each region has a team leader. Each work area should, under the leadership of the team leader, organize major activities covering their respective provinces at least once a school year through various appropriate methods such as research, science popularization lectures, and free consultations, to evaluate the mental health status of primary and secondary school students in the area, accurately grasp the current situation, development trends, existing problems, and work suggestions of student mental health work, and report to the provincial education administration and other departments and Secretariat in the area.
