The second "the Belt and Road" Youth Development Summit Forum was held in Hong Kong on the 13th. With the theme of "starting from Hong Kong and connecting the world", the forum focuses on the new goal of the next stage of "the Belt and Road" jointly built by Hong Kong. The Forum was jointly hosted by the the Belt and Road General Chamber of Commerce and the Office of the Special Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong. It invited 24 organizations at home and abroad as co organizers, attracting nearly 300 youth representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and other "Belt and Road" co construction countries and local Hong Kong. Chen Guoji, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong SAR Government, delivered a speech saying that the state supports the eight initiatives to jointly build the "the Belt and Road" with high quality, which will bring new opportunities for Hong Kong to participate in the high-quality development of the "the Belt and Road". The SAR government is committed to building on the past and expanding its global economic and trade network, strengthening trade promotion in markets such as ASEAN, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa, and enhancing Hong Kong's position as an international trade center. Fang Jianming, Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Special Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong, said in his speech that the initiative of jointly building the "the Belt and Road" has made historic achievements in the past decade. The Central Committee fully supports Hong Kong in seizing opportunities and positioning at a new starting point. It is believed that Hong Kong will strive to promote the construction of the "eight centers", strengthen exchanges and cooperation with countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road", and be a good "super contact". Zheng Xiangling, President of the Council of the the Belt and Road General Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong, delivered a speech, saying that the forum invited representatives of the "the Belt and Road" to jointly build the National Youth Business Association and young entrepreneurs to strengthen and expand cooperation, communicate and discuss around the orderly and free flow of factors, efficient allocation of resources and deep integration of the market, so that the concept of win-win cooperation will be deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. This Summit Forum has set up two sub forums, namely, "the 'Center' in Hong Kong helps the high-quality development of the 'the Belt and Road'" and "the 'the Belt and Road' green businessmen build a two-way win-win channel". Participants discussed how Hong Kong can contribute to the high-quality development of the "the Belt and Road". At the forum, the Philippine Chinese Business Federation and the Hong Kong Indonesian Research Society signed memorandums of cooperation with the Youth Affairs Committee of the the Belt and Road General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
