The report shows that Guangdong's new energy storage industry chain is at a leading level in the country as a whole. Shenzhen has become an important lithium battery key material industry cluster in the country, and the lithium battery industry in Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Huizhou and other places is thriving. In recent years, the scale of China's new energy storage industry has grown rapidly and has become a major growth point for the industrial economy. The report points out that as one of the new three types of foreign trade products, the export value of lithium batteries increased by about 42% year-on-year from January to August, with Fujian, Guangdong, Jiangsu and other provinces accounting for the top three export values in the country. The number of new energy storage enterprises is rapidly increasing. According to the report, a total of 38000 energy storage related enterprises were established nationwide in 2022, which is 5.8 times higher than in 2021. From the perspective of regional distribution, the agglomeration effect of industries in Guangdong and Jiangsu is obvious. In 2022, there were 4044 and 3225 newly established enterprises, ranking among the top two in the country. New energy storage has become a hot topic in the capital market. The report points out that in 2022, there were 249 financing transactions in the new energy storage industry nationwide, with a financing scale of 49.4 billion yuan. Among them, Guangdong Province has 67 financing transactions, with a financing amount of 13.5 billion yuan, surpassing other provinces in terms of both quantity and amount. In addition, the conference also held a centralized signing ceremony for key new energy storage projects in Zhuhai, involving 10 new energy storage projects such as Exxon New Energy Storage Cells. As of now, the total investment amount of emerging energy storage industry investment projects in Zhuhai has exceeded 80 billion yuan, and it is expected that the new production value will exceed 150 billion yuan by 2025.
