The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced on the 18th that the Ministry of Finance will issue additional RMB treasury bond through the central clearing system of the HKMA's debt instruments, with a total issuance scale of 16 billion yuan, divided into four years. This issue is an additional 2025 treasury bond with a total value of 4 billion yuan, an additional 2026 treasury bond with a total value of 5 billion yuan, an additional 2028 treasury bond with a total value of 4 billion yuan, and an additional 2033 treasury bond with a total value of 3 billion yuan. This batch of treasury bond will be tendered on October 25 and settled on October 27. After issuance, the additional treasury bond will be merged with the original 2025, 2026, 2028 and 2033 treasury bond to form a single series, with the annual interest rates of treasury bond being 2.2%, 2.3%, 2.52% and 2.71% respectively.
