At the launch ceremony, the Introduction Office of Key Enterprises held a signing ceremony with these 20 enterprises from mainland and overseas. These enterprises come from the life and health technology, artificial intelligence and data science, financial technology, advanced manufacturing, and new energy technology industries, and most of them will establish research and development centers or regional business headquarters in Hong Kong. The introduction office will provide one-stop services for these enterprises and follow up on their development situation and specific needs in Hong Kong. In the coming years, the key enterprises introduced will invest over HKD 30 billion in Hong Kong, creating approximately 10000 job opportunities, most of which are in research and management positions. Li Jiachao stated that in his first policy address, he announced the establishment of the Office for Introducing Key Enterprises, which is responsible for attracting representative and high potential key enterprises from around the world to Hong Kong. This achievement is encouraging. The SAR government will work together with these enterprises to promote high-quality development in Hong Kong and help Hong Kong achieve its positioning as an international innovation and technology center. The Financial Secretary of the SAR Government, Chen Maobo, stated that as an international financial center, Hong Kong has a first-class financing platform and a thriving financial ecosystem, which can support the financing needs of these enterprises at different stages of development and help them accelerate their development.
