What new technologies have been used for cultural relic protection? On September 27, the "Making First - Cultural Relics Protection Technology and Equipment Application Exhibition" sponsored by the National Cutural Heritage Administration, Chongqing Municipal People's Government and China Electronics Technology Group Co., Ltd. was opened in the National Cultural Relics Protection Equipment Industrial Base (Chongqing). Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the National Cutural Heritage Administration has attached great importance to the work of cultural relics protection equipment, focused on the reform needs of cultural relics protection and utilization in the new era, gathered social forces, innovated the development model, optimized the development ecology, and continued to promote the key common technical breakthrough of cultural relics protection equipment. After more than ten years of development, the comprehensive support and service capabilities of cultural relics protection equipment for the development of cultural relics have been greatly improved. The exhibition is divided into 7 display units, including "Heavenly Book", "Wooden Structure", "Wall View", "Pure Realm", "Seeking Truth", "Imitation", and "Reconstruction". It brings together 64 sets of cultural relics protection technology equipment, including cultural and museum institutions, research institutes, higher education institutions, and high-tech enterprises. It is the first large-scale scene exhibition in China to focus on the application of cultural relics protection technology equipment. The exhibition is aimed at five major demand areas, including "prevention, protection, research, management, and use". It has constructed 19 typical application scenarios, including large-scale unmanned outdoor sites, archaeological sites, cave temples, ancient buildings, as well as exhibition halls, warehouses, restoration rooms, and laboratories, comprehensively showcasing the new technologies, products, applications, and formats of cultural relics protection equipment in China in recent years. The exhibition is open to the public by appointment and lasts for 3 months.
