According to Zhou Xiaojian, the director of the Badashan People Memorial Hall, Badashan people are the peak of Chinese freehand brushwork. Their brushstrokes are unrestrained, vigorous, and elegant, showcasing the cultural characteristics of Jiangxi and the core of Chinese spirit. His art has infiltrated the Chinese painting world for nearly 400 years, deeply influenced by Yangzhou Eight Monsters, Wu Changshuo, Qi Baishi, and others. It is understood that this exhibition is divided into two parts. These artists, with their rich artistic practices and profound cultural heritage, present Jiangxi artists as the Eight Hometowns, closely following the freehand brushwork spirit of the Eight Mountains, and combining the achievements of contemporary art forms, showcasing traditional Chinese painting works with strong regional characteristics and humanistic spirit for the audience. This exhibition is jointly launched by the National Art Museum of China and the Badashan People's Memorial Museum.
