By utilizing digital technology and using VR panoramic video, the three most distinctive ancient fortresses of Songshan, Gansu, including Xinbian Suoqiao Castle, Sanyan Jingbao, and Yongtai Guicheng, have been restored in a virtual digital world, reproducing historical scenes from 400 years ago. The restored images are realistic, with realistic colors, providing an immersive experience. The picture shows the restoration results of the "Cable Bridge Fort" in the new border of Songshan, Gansu. In order to better protect the Great Wall, in recent years, China has not only paid attention to the protection of the Great Wall itself, but also continuously devoted itself to exploring and showcasing its deep value. Gansu, which is rich in cultural resources such as the Great Wall culture, Silk Road civilization, and cultural relics sites, provides vast space for the application of "digital culture" technology. The Battle of Songshan was a battle launched by the Ming Dynasty in the 26th year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1598) against the Tatar Achimian tribe who occupied the Songshan Mountains (now Lushou Mountain in Jingtai County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province). In the second year after the victory of the battle (1599), the Minister of War, Li Wen, submitted a letter to the court to build a new "side wall", starting from the ancient ferry of the Yellow River at Dongsuoqiao Fort in Jingtai and ending at the Sishui Fort in Dajing, Gulang County, Gansu Province. The total length is over 400 miles and is known as the "New Border of Songshan" in history. The picture shows the restoration results of the "Three Eyes Well Fort". The digital restoration project of the Great Wall culture in Xinbian, Songshan, Gansu Province, captured by Wang Yuou, provides a reference innovative model for the regeneration of national cultural heritage such as the Great Wall culture, the Long March culture, the Yellow River culture, the Silk Road culture, and the Red culture. At the same time, it constructs vivid and interactive digital application scenarios in areas such as "smart cultural tourism", "smart education", "panoramic cultural museum", "brand new cultural creation", and "industrial metaverse". Zhao Sidai, the general manager of Silk Road Information Port Co., Ltd., which is responsible for implementing the project, said that the company has deeply explored the rich historical and cultural resources of the Great Wall in Gansu, and comprehensively utilized methods such as informatization, parameterization, and digitization to carry out parameterized digital restoration of the Great Wall cultural heritage. Eight historical and cultural sites of the Great Wall have been digitized and restored, and three sites, including Xinbian Suoqiao Fort, Sanyanjing Fort, and Yongtai Guicheng in Songshan, Gansu, have been digitally displayed. The picture shows the restoration results of "Yongtai Guicheng". According to Wang Yuou's photo, the company's research and development team relies on cutting-edge technologies such as high-precision Beidou remote sensing positioning, oblique shadow point cloud collection, parameterized dynamic precision modeling, BIM full lifecycle information integration, and artificial intelligence to integrate technology and humanities cross-border innovation, comprehensively and vividly presenting the historical original appearance of the Great Wall National Cultural Heritage, exploring and inheriting its historical, cultural, ecological, and economic value. Today, Gansu, located in the northwest border, has built "Digital Gansu" into a model for the national provincial (district, city) digital government, attracting informatization staff from the National Information Center and 41 cities to visit and investigate, which not only highlights Gansu's position as a digital hub and information distribution center, but also provides an efficient and convenient channel for information exchange between countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road". In the future, we will deeply explore the advantages of various cultural resources and promote the integration of cultural tourism and digital industry, "said Zhao Sijie. (New News Agency)
