The Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Emergency Rescue Joint Conference was held in Hong Kong on the 20th. The meeting aims to review the achievements of emergency rescue cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and promote the development of the "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Emergency Management Cooperation Jinan Bay Area Emergency Rescue Action Cooperation Framework Agreement" (referred to as the Cooperation Framework Agreement) proposed by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, to push the emergency rescue cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao to a new level. The Secretary for Security of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Deng Bingqiang, stated at the meeting that he hopes to integrate the emergency rescue forces of the Greater Bay Area cities through a cooperation framework agreement, build a more systematic emergency response mechanism, leverage the joint ability of various cities to handle accidents, and jointly explore how to more effectively achieve the smooth flow of emergency rescue personnel, equipment, and materials during emergency response, effectively improving cross-border rescue efficiency. It is reported that the cooperation framework agreement will establish a government led, professional emergency rescue team as the main body, and action centered emergency rescue cooperation system. Deng Bingqiang visited the Emergency Management Department of Guangdong Province, the Security Department of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, and all emergency rescue units in the Greater Bay Area cities from May to July this year to introduce the concept of the "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Emergency Response Action Plan" (referred to as the Action Plan). On behalf of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Chen Guoji, thanked the governments of Guangdong Province and Macau Special Administrative Region for their strong support for the action plan and cooperation framework agreement. He said that Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao will strive to leverage their comprehensive advantages, fully promote the high-quality construction of the "Safe Bay Area", implement the spirit of "people first, life first", and promote sustainable and stable social development.
