On the morning of the 11th, some parts of Hong Kong were affected by a storm, resulting in 8 flooding accidents, with the highest depth reaching about 1 meter. The Drainage Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government immediately dispatched 15 emergency teams to handle the situation. The areas with the highest rainfall on that day were mainly Sai Kung and Tseung Kwan O, with the highest rainfall reaching 100 millimeters per hour. During a meeting with the media, the Acting Director of the Drainage Services Department, Xu Shiji, stated that the Department had discovered a total of 8 flooding accidents, with the highest water depth reaching about 1 meter. Some areas of the road were affected, and there were also roads that needed to be closed. Xu Shiji stated that after receiving the report of the flooding accident, the Drainage Department immediately dispatched 15 emergency teams to handle it, and most of the flooding accidents were resolved in a timely manner. Subsequently, the Drainage Department continued to conduct inspections of relevant drainage and channel projects, clearing debris that may obstruct the channels. By noon, most of the inspection and cleaning work had been completed. The Director of the Transport Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Lee Chung en, stated that the Transport Department's Emergency Traffic Coordination Center has been operating 24 hours a day to monitor the road surface and public transportation situation in Hong Kong. Recently, Hong Kong was affected by the rainstorm caused by the residual low pressure trough of "sea anemone", and the SAR government carried out all aspects of response and rehabilitation work. On the 11th, the Education Bureau stated that as of noon, approximately 140 schools had reported campus damage and contractors had been assigned to all affected schools for emergency repairs to assist in restoring normal operations. All maintenance projects have been basically completed. The Education Bureau stated that on the 12th, there were still 5 schools that were unable to resume face-to-face classes due to the need for improvement in the campus and surrounding environment.
